When I first got a mail about signing up for Sponge Academy, I developed cold feet about it because I couldn't really place its relevance in my field of study. Meet the Facilitators

Dayo is a new media veteran with over 15 years of experience delivering digital marketing strategies and solutions for some of the world's leading brands (Diageo, British Airways, Ericsson Enterprise, News International, Coca Cola, Nigerian Breweries). He has led a number of ground-breaking teams that have shaped digital marketing thinking both in Nigeria and abroad. Dayo was one of the founding members of the digital marketing group Agency.com, at one time the largest interactive marketing agency in the world, and ran one of the very first mobile marketing campaigns in the UK. He developed and delivered the marketing platform that was the basis for the highly successful ‘Coke Open and Win’ campaign. He is chairman of the Mobile Marketing Association Nigeria, and CEO of Sponge Africa.

Dayo Elegbe, Leadership

Anderson is a graduate of Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin. Anderson's interest in digital generally comes for the massive increase in mobile and internet penetration in Nigeria over the last five years. Anderson has certifications in Display Advertising and Video Advertising. Also, Anderson also has a certification of completion in YouTube Analytics, Basic Google Analytics and Google Universal App Campaigns. Although not fully related to digital, Anderson is also certified in Basic HSE.
To unwind, Anderson loves watching movies and TV Shows but gaming still remains his first love especially FIFA and Call of Duty.

Anderson Agbeso, Media Buying Planning and Reporting Tools

Oti is currently the Ad Ops and Sales Lead (Nigeria) at Opera Software, the top 3 Online Advertising Companies in Nigeria. He is a digital marketing and advertising specialist with experience working across agency, publisher, technology and brand sides both in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. He has extensive knowledge of the online advertising ecosystem including display, mobile, paid search, paid social and online video advertising. He has worked on several successful campaigns including working with Facebook in partnership with Coca-cola to launch Facebook slideshow ads across Africa which led to a 10 point increase in awareness for Coca-Cola's Coke Studio; launching Guinness Diageo Orijin Zero across digital platforms, a campaign Facebook recognised among top 20 campaigns in Africa for ad recall; and more recently, the launch of Wema Banks digital bank, ALAT, which ranked 4th place in consumer awareness among digital banking platforms in Nigeria within its first month

Oti Ukubeyinje, Media Buying Planning and reporting tools

Bode has been a member of Sponge for the past four years as the head of the design department. He obtained his Bachelor Degree of Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is skilled in Graphic Design, Photography and Illustration. He manages a multitude of projects from conception to completion ensuring that the client's vision is executed beyond belief. He develops creative programs and designs concepts that advance brands. He works closely with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals.

Olabode Akinyemi, Graphic Design

Juwon is a brand and communications strategist with a wealth of experience gained from handling some of the biggest brands in Nigeria across different industries - Telecommunications, Pay TV, FMCG, Banking, Entertainment, Insurance and Government.
Over the years, he has delivered highly effective and engaging marketing campaigns for brand like Indomie, Nokia, Peak - to mention a few that have met both perception and business goals. He was also a part of the strategy team behind the rebirth of the Airtel brand in Nigeria.
Juwon subscribes to the school of thought that posits the "Consumer as the Strategy" and is on a lifetime mission to better understand the consumer, unearth unique insights and navigating their complexities.
He has strong proficiency in research, brand building, is in tune with most recent trends and has an in-depth understanding of the Nigerian consumer.

Cynthia has over two years' experience as a journalist, writer, and audio-visual content producer, with a B.A (Hons) in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos. Her career in the aforementioned fields has seen her work with notable journalism platforms such as Ventures Africa and Culture Trip, as well as contribute to ones such as The Guardian (UK). As a Content Producer with Sponge, a Digital Marketing  Agency in Lagos, she is developed content for some of the biggest brand globally. She has a B.A (Hons) in History and Strategic Studies in University of Lagos and is also a certified screenwriter from the distinguished La CinéFabrique in Lyon, France.
Cynthia is a lover of life and living, and her vast range of interests - from arts, media and entertainment, to sociocultural and sociopolitical justice, to some adventure sports , to victuals - are a testimony to the fact. 

Cynthia Okoroafor, Content Production

She has a broad range of expertise and experience as an international business consultant with a comprehensive knowledge of strategic services for organisations and companies.
At Queen Mary university United Kingdom, she obtained a bachelor's degree in English and History. After a few years of building her portfolio, she moved to Nigeria  2016 to consult for African brands. She is a creative and dynamic worker with proven results in consistently penetrating new and old markets to ensure sustainable revenue growth.  A true team player and leader who organised teams of over one hundred people to execute strategies and ensuring companies not only reach but surpass their objectives. Described by many as “Sales Guru” loyal, efficient, flexible, always doing more than required.
Her talents are in but not limited to improving product sales, marketing, branding, business negotiation; creating maximum value for company stakeholders; business development, market research and demographic profiling to identify and capitalise on unmet market needs ahead of the curve.

Fadekemi Ibiwoye-Oba, Personal Mastery

A certified e-business & project management professional, and a graduate of Computer Science. Temitope has over 8 years experience in building web & mobile projects; 3 years experience in mobile VAS working with major telecommunication company across West Africa. His expertise covers content acquisition/monetization, product development, front-end development, eCommerce & Payment gateway, Mobile Payment, Digital Marketing, Web & App Design, Business Analysis & development.
Temitope has worked on projects for top brands like Unilever, Gates Foundation, Nasper & Pfizer.
Temitope loves to watch movies in his spare time; also a big lover of FIFA.

He is a graduate of Industrial Physics, with a Masters degree in Geophysics. He is certified in Email and Inbound marketing from HubSpot, YouTube, and Twitter flight school.
